Description
For 2vn, va, vc (all amplified); electronics with or without live processing. Shapes is the result of a collaboration with Lucky Dragons, a Los Angeles-based electronic duo whose work I’ve been a fan of for many years. Like in much of my own work, they also frequently derive their electronics from processing acoustic sounds, so we had a natural affinity towards working together. All the electronics in Shapes were created using the sounds of a string quartet and processing it through a MAX/MSP patch that enhances certain frequencies while getting rid of others.— Daniel Wohl
